POST-GAME SCREEN TRANSLATIONS

postgame1

This screen is like a play-by-play version of the box-score. For example, we can see the following information for the #6 hitter of this game:

  • 5th inning - Grounded out to short
  • 7th inning - Struck out swinging
  • 10th inning - Lined out to short

Obviously you would need to know some Japanese for this to be useful, but just like the results in-game, a grey box is an out, a pink box is a hit, an orange box is a sacrifice, and an orange dot is an RBI.

Also you will see a game score (scale of 1-10) next to each hitter’s name. Every player in this game received a score of 4.5 to 5.5, so none of them performed well.

postgame2

Your typical hitters box score. The columns are:

AB – Hits– 2B – 3B – HR – RBI – Runs – Ks – BB – Sac – Steals – GIDP – Error – Game Batting Avg

postgame3

Pitchers box score. The columns are:

IP – Hitters faced – # Pitches – Hits – Ks – Walks – Runs – ERA – Wild Pitches – HRs – Game ERA

postgame4

A very detailed pitch tracker. This screen displays all of the pitches thrown during the game by the Hiroshima Carp against the Hawks. You can select one of the 7 boxes shown above which will display the pitches thrown under that situation. The seven boxes are:

  1. Show all Pitches
  2. First Pitch
  3. Swinging Strikes
  4. Strikeout Pitches
  5. Out Pitches
  6. Hits Allowed
  7. Homeruns Allowed

The arrows coming out from the baseball shows the number and direction of breaking balls the Carp threw (these numbers total 52.).

Above the baseball it's telling you the Carp threw 99 fastballs, 52 breaking balls, had a 37% best release rate, and had 0 missed releases (when you failed to release the ball.)
