MANAGER COMMANDS - OFFENSE

TEAM APPROACH & BATTING SIGNS - OFFENSE
These appear when the side changes and it's your turn to bat. Each batter in the inning will then follow this approach unless you press 'Square' to specifically give a batter a different command.
Don't Give Command
Aggressive Approach: Aggressively go after the pitch early in the count and even on the first pitch. It is effective against the "Throw strikes" approach but your hitter will also try to hit bad balls the pitcher is throwing.
Patient Approach: Wait patiently for a good pitch to hit and lay off the bad pitches. It is useful against the "Throw Ball" approach and allows you to draw walks or get into a good hitter's count and increase the chance of a hit. It also has a slight advantage against pitchers using the "Go for strikeout" approach when the pitcher tries to be too fine or make the hitters chase.
Hit for Power: Swing with all your strength. It is effective when the pitcher challenges the hitter directly, but it is not effective against breaking pitches and balls. It is also a useful approach when the pitcher is concerned with a runner on base. It is especially effective against the "Go for Strikeout" approach.
Hit for Contact: Go for solid contact consistently but without hitting for power. It is especially useful against the "Pitch to contact" approach, but it is weak if the pitcher decides to challenge you directly.

MISC / OTHER: These commands appeared in the game which are not shown above
Runner start automatically (full count with 2 outs)
Emphasize Power Hitting: same as "Hit for Power" and we're not sure why they used different text - perhaps because it's shorter?
Hit & Run (Abbreviated) You might also see other blue commands that are abbreviated. This is shown just for example. It's the same for "Hit for Contact". When you choose that on the command screen, it will show up as "Emphasis Contact" in the blue bar. it's just different wording.
